Meet Megan A. Ellis, LPC-S, LSATP
Megan has been practicing mental and behavioral health counseling for over 15 years. With her primary focus and expertise in outpatient clinical care, she brings experience, creativity, and energy to the clients and organizations she serves.
She is fully licensed by the Virginia state board to practice counseling as well as to supervise counselor trainees. She also holds the Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner credential and is an active member of the Virginia Counselors Association.
Megan has extensive experience providing crisis and counseling services in both private and community mental health centers. She has also enjoyed the fully integrated approach of working as a behavioral health consultant within local federally qualified health centers.
Areas of interest include: evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression and post-partum, trauma, stress related disorders, substance use, bipolar, OCD, relationship issues, marriage and family problems, parental coaching, spirituality issues, grief and loss, adolescent behavioral disorders, self-harm and cutting, as well as other common developmental concerns across the lifespan.
She spends time volunteering her professional services in a variety of settings, and writing small grants to support local projects promoting mental health awareness. When she's not working, you can find Megan watching a basketball game or music performance at her children's school, reading historical fiction, or enjoying the great outdoors!

Meet Tanya Pizzullo, LCSW, RPT
Tanya has a diverse background providing mental health treatment to both children and adults. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker able to provide outpatient counseling, as well as supervise counselor trainees. She is also one of only a small number of local licensed clinician's to hold the Registered Play Therapist credential.
Tanya has extensive experience providing counseling services in both private and community mental health centers with over 15 years experience in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, as well as attachment and trauma issues. She has provided counseling to children, adolescents, and adults; and has extensive experience working with children and families within the school setting.
Tanya has most recently completed specialized training in parent-child interaction therapy, or PCIT. She has a unique combination of both warmth, creativity, and honesty that helps her clients feel comfortable, challenged, and at ease.

Meet Cary-Grace James, MSW, LCSW Supervisee
Cary-Grace began her career serving others through the Social Work program at James Madison University. She spent her first three years in the field working with children and teens in community settings in which the primary focus was on helping her clients build social, emotional, and life skills. Cary-Grace completed her Masters degree in Social Work at Radford University. Most recently she has provided counseling and play therapy services to children, families, and adults. She has a passion for working with children who have experienced trauma, as well as seeing individuals, children, and families work towards restoration and healing.
Cary-Grace plans to continue her residency working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
Cary-Grace values therapeutic relationships that center on safety, trust, and guidance, while giving the client space for a deeper understanding of themselves and their environment. She hopes to equip her clients with tools they find helpful to their own well-being and direct them towards living well.
In her free time, Cary-Grace enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as her community and relationships are some of her favorite parts of life!

Meet Ritter Minnix, MA, LMFT Resident
Ritter graduated from Liberty University, and is currently under the supervision of Megan Ellis, LPC-S, LSATP. Ritter is a Roanoke, Virginia native who loves his hometown and the people who live, work, and go to school here! He has completed all of his coursework towards a master's in counseling, and is eager to show you or your family member the compassion and care that you are looking for.
Ritter is specializing in working with young men, teens, and boys experiencing a wide array of mental and emotional health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and relationship issues. He has a particular interest in working with families in need of grace based interventions and strategies. He is able to offer competitive rates, and would love to talk to you more about how he might help you, your child, or your family!
Meet Marla Lenviel, M.Ed., NCC, LPC Resident
Marla has spent fourteen years working with children, adolescents, and families in our local schools, serving many of those years as a school counselor. She received her Master’s degree in school counseling from University of Lynchburg, where she also completed an Advanced Counseling Certificate towards her clinical residency. Marla is also a National Board Certified Counselor, and has specialized training in trauma-informed practices.
She has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families. She is well equipped to work with children on school issues (such as ADHD, oppositional defiance, and anxiety), to assist with family dynamics, and to focus on all aspects of clinical counseling and issues. She has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, and other mental health struggles.

Bailey holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, and is well attuned to the needs of this community and abroad.
She has volunteered with at-risk populations for several years in the community and overseas in the Dominican Republic. Bailey is available for in-person or tele health visits to provide compassionate care to help you meet your goals.

Bailey works from Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspectives.
